Charles Chaillé-Long

Charles Chaillé - Long ( born July 2, 1842 in Princess Anne, Somerset County, Maryland, † 1917) was an American traveler Africa and member of the Egyptian army.

Chaillé - Long participated on the part of the Northern states at the American Civil War and entered 1870 as a Lieutenant Colonel of the General Staff in the Egyptian army. In 1874, he was the expedition Charles George Gordon allocated and sent from there to King Mutesa I. in Uganda, came to the Ukerewesee and returned to Gondokoro.
