Charles Correll (director)

Charles James Correll Jr. ( born January 23, 1944 in Los Angeles, California, † June 4, 2004 in Tarzana, California ) was an American cinematographer and film director.

Life

Charles James Correll Jr. was born the son of comedian Charles Correll ( 1890-1972 ). He had two older sisters and a younger brother, the director Richard Correll. Correll started as a camera assistant of Jack Webb in the U.S. series police report and quickly worked his way up to the cameraman, where he next series like Kojak - Kojak and Columbo in movies such as Star Trek III: The Search for Spock and The Super sucker worked. From the late 1980s, Correll moved completely to the control room and was until recently a director for such series as MacGyver, Seven Days - Seven Days, CSI: - disappeared without a trace active Miami and Without a Trace.

On June 4, 2004 Correll died of pancreatic tumor and here was next to his wife Robin of his two daughters and his son.
