Charles Dorian

Charles Dorian (* June 27, 1891 in Santa Monica, California, † October 21, 1942 in Albuquerque, New Mexico) was an American film actor and assistant director of the Oscar for best assistant director received at the Academy Awards 1934.

Biography

Dorian began his career as an actor in vaudeville entertainment theater before it as a film actor for the first time participated in 1915 in silent films and to 1920 in more than 20 films as The Red- Haired Cupid (1918 ), Mr. Miller's Economies (1918 ) and All Night ( 1918) occurred.

Subsequently, he worked until the end of the 1930s as an assistant director on such films as It was (1927 ) by Clarence Brown. In 1934 he was one of the seven winners of the Oscars in the category of best assistant.
