Charles Dunstone

Sir Charles Dunstone, KBE ( born November 21, 1964 in Saffon Walden, Essex ) is a British entrepreneur and founder and CEO of The Carphone Warehouse Group.

Life

Dunstone worked after school initially for one year at Torch Computers in Cambridge and the NEC before he studied business administration at the University of Liverpool. In 1989 he co-founded with David Ross his own company, The Carphone Warehouse.

In 2005 Dunstone from the Daily Telegraph to the " Daily Telegraph 's Business Person of the Year " was selected. In the Sunday Times " Rich List 2006" he came with an estimated fortune of 830 million pounds (about 1.2 billion euros ) on the 64th

His father is an executive at British Petroleum (BP).

The Carphone Warehouse

Dunstone is co-founder and CEO (Chief Executive Officer / CEO) of "The Carphone Warehouse Group ". While Dunstone and Ross initially the mobile phones sold directly from their home in London, the company has developed over the next 20 years the leading independent full-service provider of communication and entertainment in Europe.

Since October 2007, the company is managed in the FTSE 100 Index, in which the 100 largest UK listed companies are listed.

The Prince's Trust

Dunstone is on the board of the Prince's Trust a charity of the Prince of Wales.
