Charles-Édouard Lefebvre

Charles Lefebvre ( born June 10, 1843 in Paris, † September 8, 1917 in Aix -les- Bains ) was a French composer.

Lefebvre studied at the Conservatoire de Paris by Ambroise Thomas. In 1870, he won with the cantata Le Jugement de Dieu the First Second Grand Prix de Rome. Since 1895, he served as professor at the Conservatoire in a class of instrumental ensemble playing.

Lefebvre composed more than 100 works, including a symphony orchestra and brass Suites, organ, piano and chamber works, operas and ballets.
