Charles H. Weisse

Charles Herman Weisse ( born October 24, 1866 in Sheboygan Falls, Sheboygan County, Wisconsin, † October 8, 1919 ) was an American politician. Between 1903 and 1911 he represented the state of Wisconsin in the U.S. House of Representatives.

Career

Charles White attended the public schools of his home and then the St. Paul Lutheran School. In 1880 he began to work in a tannery. Eight years later he became a partner in this operation. At the same time struck White as a member of the Democratic Party launched a political career. Between 1893 and 1896 he was chairman of the municipal council of Sheboygan Falls; 1897-1900 he managed the finances as treasurer of the school board. In 1904 and 1908 he was a delegate to the Democratic National Conventions relevant.

In 1900 he ran unsuccessfully for Congress yet. In the congressional elections of 1902, but he was then in the sixth constituency of Wisconsin in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington DC chosen, where he succeeds James H. Davidson took up on March 4, 1903, who moved into the eighth district. After three re- elections, he was able to complete in Congress until March 3, 1911 four legislative sessions. 1910 White renounced to another candidacy. In the following years he worked in his home town of Sheboygan Falls mainly in the manufacture of leather. He was also involved in many other business ventures. On 8 October 1919, he was accidentally killed in his hometown. The sources give no precise information on the exact background of his death.
