Charles Lewis Haley ( born January 6, 1964 in Gladys, Virginia ) is a former American professional American football players on the positions of the defensive ends and the linebackers. He played for the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys in the National Football League ( NFL), was five times elected to the Pro Bowl and is equipped with five Super Bowl titles the most successful collector of NFL history.

Career

Haley was selected in the 1986 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers as the 96th player. Right off the bat Haley established as a reliable all-rounder who played depending on the defensive formation either defensive end or left outer Linebacker ( LOLB ) and 100.5 Sacks posted. The team led by coach Bill Walsh and the two quarterbacks Joe Montana and Steve Young and Safety Ronnie Lott Haley won the Super Bowl XXIII and Super Bowl XXIV and was twice elected to the Pro Bowl. After he fell out with parts of the team, he moved in 1992 to the Dallas Cowboys.

The team led by head coach Jimmy Johnson and the " Triplets " Troy Aikman ( quarterback ), Michael Irvin ( wide receiver ) and Emmitt Smith ( running back ) he brought three more appearances in the Pro Bowl and three NFL titles, the Super Bowl XXVII the Super Bowl XXVIII and Super Bowl XXX. Thus, Haley became the first professional NFL history with five Super Bowl victories. In later years, Haley got injury problems, so in 1997 he ended his career briefly, but after that played two years for the 49ers.

For his achievements Charles Haley was included in the Dallas Cowboys Ring of Honor.

Private life

Haley was married to his wife Karen and has given me her four children, but is now divorced. Haley has a bipolar disorder, which was throughout his career barely touched (even by his own failure, by his own admission ), and made him a most bizarre character. The sports writer Jeff Pearlman, of the Dallas Cowboys book Boys will be Boys brought out in 2008, Haley described as " obscene exhibitionist, social illiteracy and ill-tempered, vicious character." After successful therapy Haley accepted this view, and has apologized to many colleagues, but his behavior as a player is cited as the main reason why Haley was not chosen despite its unique trophy in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
