Charles Hartshorne

Charles Hartshorne ( born June 5, 1897 in Kittanning, Pennsylvania; † 9 October 2000 in Austin, Texas) was an American philosopher.

Philosophy

Great influence on Hartshorne had the philosophy of Charles S. Peirce, he made only accessible to a wider public as co-editor of the "Collected Papers" 20 years after Peirce 's death. He was a major developer and founder of process theology, whose merit was above all, the theological aspects and implications of the philosophy of Alfred North Whitehead interpreted and continue.
