Charles Honoré d'Albert, duc de Luynes

Charles- Honoré d' Albert ( born October 7, 1646 Paris, † November 5, 1712 ibid ) Duke of Chevreuse, the Duke of Luynes and Chaulnes, Governor of Guyenne (Aquitaine ) was a scion of the French nobility, confidant and advisor to French king Louis XIV.

1667, he married Jeanne- Marie, the second daughter of Jean -Baptiste Colbert. He was also a friend of the archbishop and writer François Fénelon and Paul de Beauvilliers.
