Charles K. Tuckerman

Charles Keating Tuckerman ( born March 11, 1811 in Boston, Massachusetts, † February 26, 1896 in Florence) was an American diplomat and writer.

In 1867 he gave Alexander R. Rangabés Greece: Out Her Progress and Present Condition. The following year he was appointed the first American ambassador to Greece. His mandate lasted from March 11, 1868 to November 4, 1871.

The writer Henry Theodore Tuckerman was his brother, the architect Arthur Lyman Tuckerman his son.
