Charles Lamont
Charles Lamont ( born May 5, 1895 in St. Petersburg, Russia, † September 12, 1993 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American film director and screenwriter.
His debut as a director, he was in 1923 with the short film The Big Game. This was followed by numerous other comedies. Overall, Lamont made more than 200 films. He turned, inter alia, with Shirley Temple and Buster Keaton. His first feature films he directed in the mid- 1930s. From 1942 he worked Studios for the film studio Universal.
In 1943, he turned with Abbott and Costello on ice his first film with the film Abbott and Costello pair, in the 1950s was followed by many more.
