Charles Louis Joseph Vandame

Charles Louis Joseph Vandame SJ ( born June 4, 1928 in Colombes ) is Archbishop Emeritus of N'Djamena.

Life

Charles Louis Joseph Vandame joined the Congregation of the Jesuits and received on 7 September 1960, the ordination. John Paul II appointed him on 23 May 1981 for the Archbishop of N'Djamena.

The Pope personally consecrated him on January 6 next year as bishop; Co-consecrators were Eduardo Martínez Somalo, Substitute of the Secretariat of State, and Lucas Moreira Neves, OP, Secretary of the Congregation for Bishops.

On 31 July 2003, Pope John Paul II accepted his resignation age-related.
