Charles P. Boyle

Charles P. Boyle (* July 26, 1892, † May 28, 1968 in Los Angeles, California ) was an American cinematographer.

Life

Boyle began his career as a cameraman in 1925. During the 1930s to the 1940s he was mainly involved in short films. After the production of His friend Jello in 1957 Boyle ended his career as a cameraman. He had been involved in more than 80 productions.

For the film Holiday in Hollywood Bolye in 1946 was nominated along with his colleague Robert H. Planck for the Academy Award for Best Cinematography.

Directors, with whom he collaborated on several occasions, were Hugo Fregonese and Budd Boetticher.
