Charles Petrie (historian)

Sir Charles Alexander Petrie, 3rd Baronet (born 28 September 1895 in Liverpool, † 13 December 1977 ) was a British historian.

He wrote several works on the British, Jacobite and Spanish history. In the 30 years he sympathized with the fascists to Oswald Mosley, Franco supporters. He was a supporter of the appeasement policy of Chamberlain, editor of the conservative New English Review, corresponding member of the Spanish Historical Society and president of the Irish Military History Society.
