Charles Petty-Fitzmaurice, 7th Marquess of Lansdowne

Charles Hope Petty - FitzMaurice, 7th Marquess of Lansdowne ( born January 9, 1917August 20, 1944 ) was the second son of Henry Petty - Fitzmaurice, 6th Marquess of Lansdowne.

Life and career

He completed his education at Eton College and Balliol College, Oxford University. After the death of his father in 1936 he inherited the title of Marquess of Lansdowne and numerous other subordinate titles, including that of a " Baron of Kerry ". Membership is connected to the Marquess title in the House of Lords he was only able to compete with reaching the 21 year life in 1938. He graduated in 1938 with a Bachelor of Arts ( BA).

After completing his studies, he joined the Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry Regiment, in whose ranks he took part in the Second World War and brought it to the Captain. He fell on 20 August 1944 at the age of 27 years as a soldier in Italy during the explosion of the coat.

Lord Lansdowne was not married and had no children. His titles went to his cousin George Petty - Fitzmaurice on, 8th Marquess of Lansdowne. However, the Scottish title of Lord Nairne is inherited in the female line, and therefore fell to his sister Katherine.
