Charles Vanel

Marie -Charles Vanel ( born August 21, 1892 in Rennes, † April 15, 1989 in Cannes) was a French actor and director. He is one of the actors with the longest film career and was 78 years before the camera.

Life

Charles Vanel began as a teenager, a maritime training, but he had to cancel due to non- sufficient eyesight. In 1908 he had his stage debut as an actor in Paris, 1910, he was in a small role, his film debut. It was followed by several tours together with Sacha Guitry.
