Charlie Brown Jr

Charlie Brown Jr was a Brazilian rock band that existed from the last Chorão singer, guitarist Thiago Castanho and Marcão, bassist and drummer Bruno mushroom graveto. Their lyrics are mostly written in her native Portuguese. Side skirt is something that also often reggae, ska and hip-hop ( music) influences in their songs.

The singer has Chorão besides music another hobby: skateboarding. In the late 1980s Chorão was considered one of the greatest talents on the skateboard in Brazil. The love of skateboarding was also visible on their shows where often provided a halfpipe in the audience and was further geboarded on stage.

In 2005, there was a line-up change: the members Marcão (guitar), Renato Pelado (drums) and mushroom (Bass) retired from the band in their place, Thiago Castanho (guitar), Heitor Gomes ( bass) and Pinguim (drums ). In autumn 2007 the new album " Ritmo, Ritual e Responsa " was released by the label EMI Brasil. Already in 2008, followed the next lineup changes: On Pinguims Office Bruno graveto took over the drums. 2011 returned Marcão as second guitarist and mushroom back in the band.

On March 6, 2013 Chorão died in his apartment in São Paulo from an overdose of cocaine. As a result, the remaining band members announced in an interview on 11 April 2013, the breakup of the band.
