Charlotte Mäder

Charlotte Mäder ( born July 18, 1905 in Bernau bei Berlin, † unknown) was a German athlete who had been successful in the 1920s and launched the Sport Club Bernau.

Life

Charlotte Mäder occurred in all three time run by women field events - shot put, discus and javelin - in. She was married, her married name was Seewald.

Olympic games

In 1928 she took part in the Olympic Games in Amsterdam, where athletics competitions for women were held for the first time. Since the shot put and javelin were not on the program, they launched only in the discus. While her teammates Grete Heublein and Emilie Reuter easily qualified for the final of the top six, Charlotte Mäder came with 32,22 m only in ninth place.
