Charlottenkreuz

The Charlotte Cross was founded on January 5, 1916 by King William II of Württemberg and could be given to those persons who had acquired to the care of the wounded and sick or to the field of general war welfare in the field or at home special services.

The decoration is a silvered trefoil cross, medallion in the intertwined initials CW ( Charlotte and Wilhelm ) shows, as well as the back, the year 1916.

The award was supported by a yellow band with a narrow and a wide black side stripes on the left chest.
