Charoen Sin District

Amphoe Charoen Sin ( Thai อำเภอ เจริญ ศิลป ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Sakon Nakhon. The Sakon Nakhon Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

The Amphoe Charoen Sin is in the northeast of the province of Sakon Nakhon and borders from the north clockwise as seen at the Amphoe Ban Muang, Wanon Niwat Sawang Daen Din and in the Sakon Nakhon Province and Amphoe Ban Dung Udon Thani province.

History

Amphoe Charoen Sin was formed on 15 February 1988 as a small district ( King Amphoe ) and comprised five Tambon, which had been relocated from the Amphoe Sawang Daen Din. The promotion to a full Amphoe on 4 July 1994.

Management

Amphoe Charoen Sin consists of 5 sub-districts ( tambon), which further into 52 villages ( Muban ) are divided.

There is a small town ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

• Charoen Sin ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล เจริญศิลป์ ), consisting of parts of the Tambon Charoen Sin and Thung Kae.

There are also five " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
