Chartered Insurance Institute

The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII ) is a professional association of insurance industry in the UK.

The Association was established in 1912 as a union of several UK insurance associations by Royal Charter. The institute mainly offers training in occupations in the insurance industry, which are also recognized outside the United Kingdom. The CII has over 100,000 members in 150 countries since July 2011.

The current qualifications in ascending order: Cert CII, Dip CII Advanced Diploma in Insurance ( ACII ) and Fellowship CII ( FCII ). ACII and FCII accredited members are entitled to apply for the " Chartered Insurer " status. This is due to parallel in a proof of experience in the insurance industry.
