Château Croizet Bages

The Château Croizet -Bages is a traditional vineyard of Bordeaux. Since the classification of 1855, it is classified as Cinquième Grand Cru Classé (Fifth level of classification ).

The estate is located in Pauillac and is 30 acres in size. 54 percent of the area is planted with Cabernet Franc with Cabernet Sauvignon, 38 percent Merlot and 8 percent. The farm produces about 150,000 bottles of wine in middle age.

History

The estate changed hands several times its owners. In the 17th century it was part of a large property on behalf of Bages. End of the 18th century, the vineyards were purchased by the brothers Croizet and a short time later resold to Julien Calvé, who sold it in 1853 to Jean de Puytarac. 1934 acquired Jean Paul Quié the winery, which is still owned by the family and how Château Rauzan - Gassies is operated by his son, Jean -Michel Quié.
