Chaudebonne

Chaudebonne is a commune with 55 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Drôme in the Rhône -Alpes. It belongs to the community association Communauté de communes du val d' Eygues.

Geography

Chaudebonne located 21 kilometers northeast of Valréas and 4.4 kilometers south of Bouvières. The river has its source in Roubion the community.

History

The church of Saint - Agathe von Chaudebonne was mentioned in 1183 in a charter of the abbey on the Ile Barbe ( an island in the Saône at Lyon) for the first time. In the 17th and 18th centuries Chaudebonne was raised to the priory of the abbey of Ile Barbe. In the wake of the French Revolution, the town was recognized as chaude Bonne in 1793 as a church, but was 1801, when he received the right to local self-government, already Chaudebonne. 1933, the administration of the church in the hamlet Estellon was postponed.

Population Development

Most residents had Chaudebonne 1821 and 1841, after which the population declined steadily until 1975. Since the number of inhabitants slowly rise again.

Economy
