The Chavanon ( in the upper reaches: Ramade ) is a river in France, which runs in the Limousin region and also affects the neighboring region of Auvergne. It rises as Ramade in the municipality of Crocq, in the Regional Natural Park Millevaches en Limousin, drained generally southeast, on the eastern border of the Regional Park, and ends after 54 kilometers at Confolent - Port-Dieu from the Gorges du Chavanon as a right tributary of the Dordogne. On his way to the Chavanon crosses the departments of Corrèze Creuse and touched and also the neighboring Puy-de -Dôme.
