Che Bunce

Che Bunce ( born August 29, 1975 in Auckland ) is New Zealand football player. The defender was in 1998 with the New Zealand national team and was the Oceania throughout his career in Denmark, England, Ireland, Iceland and New Zealand operates.

Club career

Bunce began his career in 1992 with the English club Sheffield United, but there was no league use and returned back to New Zealand in 1995. After two years with the Napier City Rovers he joined in early 1997 for three years for Icelandic club Breiðablik UBK. In 1999 he returned again to New Zealand and played for three seasons at the newly founded club Football Kingz, who participated in the Australian National Soccer League.

In early 2003, a six-month stint at the Irish club Drogheda United before he stood for a season in the Danish second division club Randers FC under contract. 2004 to 2006 he played for Waikato FC in the New Zealand Football Championship. For the season 2006/ 07 he returned to the Football Kingz, which is now played under the name of New Zealand Knights in the A-League. As captain, he played 19 of 21 league games before the team was disbanded at end of season.

Bunce signed shortly after the end of the season in late January a contract with the English second division club Coventry City, but remained until his contract end in summer 2007 without use. The 2007/08 season he played again at Waikato FC in the summer of 2008 he moved to league rivals Hawke 's Bay United.

National

Bunce played between 1998 and 2007 29 times in the New Zealand national team, scoring 2 goals. 1998 and 2000 he was with New Zealand in the final of the OFC Nations Cup. While in 1998 who beat Australia 1-0 they lost two years later with 0:2.

Due to the success of 1998 one was qualified for the Confederations Cup in 1999. When there Vorrundenaus All Whites Bunce came in the final group game against Brazil for his single tournament use.
