Cheba Zahouania

Chaba Zahouania (born Halima Mazzi, born 1959 in Oran, Algeria ) is a major Raï performer.

Life

She is the daughter of a Moroccan and an Algerian. Cheba Zahouania began her singing career in a meddaha, one consisting exclusively of women group that occur at weddings, baptisms and religious gatherings.
