Chechelnyk

Tschetschelnyk (Ukrainian Чечельник; Russian Tschetschelnik ) is an urban-type settlement in the Vinnytsia Oblast. It lies on the River Sawran, a tributary of the Southern Bug in the eastern part of the historical landscape Podolia.

The town was founded in the early 16th century as a refuge for landowners and Tatars, 1795 to 1812, he was named Olgopol, since 1961, he has the status of an urban-type settlement.

From 1901 to 2003, the place a port on the narrow gauge network Hajworon.
