Check Your Head is the third studio album by the hip- hop group the Beastie Boys. It was released in April 1992. Pitchfork Media placed it at number 34 of the best albums of the 1990s.
History
In contrast to the previous album, the Beastie Boys returned with Check Your Head to their punk rock roots. For the first time since their first EPs they also played the instruments themselves The album was recorded in the G -son Studios in Atwater Village, California. It was the first album which was entirely co-produced by Mario Caldato Jr.. The album reached # 10 on the Billboard 200
Criticism
The website Allmusic gave the album 5 out of 5 stars. Stephen Thomas Erlewine wrote that the board have set trends and anticipated.
