Chelsea Marshall

Chelsea Marshall ( born August 14, 1986 in Randolph, Vermont) is a former American alpine skier. She specializes in the disciplines of downhill and Super -G. Her brothers Jesse and Cody were also skier.

Biography

Marshall took in December 2001 for the first time in FIS races in part, inserts in the Nor- Am Cup followed from January 2002. It belonged from the 2004/05 season the most successful athletes in the North American Continental Championship and reached regularly in the overall standings and in the discipline ratings front placements. She won in the 2007/ 08 season, the ratings in the disciplines of downhill, super -G and combined.

My first World Cup race played Marshall on 3 December 2006, the Super -G in Lake Louise ( 44th). Up to the next World Cup stakes but went another year. On February 9, 2008, she surprised everyone with 8th place in the departure of Sestriere, in which she won first World Cup points. Despite several placings in the Top 30, they initially could not confirm this result. It was only on 30 January 2010, she scored her second top-10 result in tenth of departure from St. Moritz. At the 2009 World Championships in Val d'Isere, she was 27th in the downhill. At the Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver in 2010, she started in the Super- G, but did not finish.

The 2010/11 season had to Marshall due to back pain in January prematurely, the 2011/12 season was due to a sideband operation in the knee in January to an end. After suffering a broken leg in training, she declared in July 2013 her retirement from professional racing.
