Chemmy Alcott

Chimene ( " Chemmy " ) Mary Alcott (born 10 July 1982 Twickenham, London) is a British ski racer. Considered the best alpine ski racer of their homeland.

Biography

Alcott denied her first ski race at the age of three years. After initial victories at junior race was in 1998 a member of the British Ski Team. Since December 1999, she regularly takes part in the race for the Ski World Cup. Her first World Cup points they won in January 2002, when she was in the combination of Saalbach -Hinterglemm 18. Two years later she went in ninth departure from Cortina d'Ampezzo for the first time in the top 10. My best ever World Cup result she succeeded on 15 December 2006 with seventh place in the Super Combined at the Reiteralm.

Alcott took 2002 all alpine competitions of the Olympic Winter Games in Salt Lake City in part. Her best result was the 14th place in the combination. At the Olympic Winter Games 2006 in Turin her best result was the eleventh place in the downhill. Also, an eleventh place, this time in the super-combined, her best finish at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver. From 1999 to 2009 she took part in six World Cups. Your best results it achieved in 2009 in Val d'Isere with 15th place in the downhill and 17th place in the Super Combined.

At the beginning of the 2008/ 09 Alcott had to take an eight-week injury break. After they had driven in the giant slalom in Soelden for the fourth time in her career in the top ten, she suffered in November during training in Canada a broken ankle. Worse were the consequences of a fall on 2 December 2010 in training for World Cup downhill in Lake Louise. Alcott suffered an open tibia and fibula fracture, and she had to pause for almost two years. In November 2012, she was with a 25th place in the downhill from Lake Louise to her comeback in the World Cup.
