ChemSpider
ChemSpider is a free database of chemical compounds. It is maintained by the British Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC ) with the aim to enable the widest possible view of freely available chemical information via a single search. According to information ChemSpider over 28 million includes structures along with their associated properties and information from 400 data sources (June 2013). The available information for a structure, if available, structured into different categories:
- Name and identifier
- Properties
- Spectra
- Crystallographic data
- Publications
- Provider
- Credentials
- Patents
- MeSH classifications
- Pharmacological Data
In addition to the standard features for the text search ChemSpider offers a structure and substructure on the basis of drawn structural formulas. Alternatively, it can also be read from a file a structure.
