Chen Jing (table tennis)

Chen Jing (Chinese陈 静/陈 静; born September 20, 1968 in Wuhan) is a Chinese- Taiwanese table tennis player. It is the first Olympic gold medalist in the TT single and two -time world champion with the Chinese team.

Career

With seven years, Chen Jing began playing table tennis. She was sponsored by her school teacher who accepted it as a left-hander. After her appointment in 1981 in the province of selection and 1985 in the national squad, she joined an international match in Turkey in 1984 for the first time on an international level. 2001 ended the shakehand player of her international career.

Achievements

Between 1985 and 2001, Chen Jing participated in nine World Championships. In 1985, she just sat on the bench, but in 1987 she won with the Chinese team the gold medal in the individual they reached the quarter- finals where she lost to future world champion He Zhili.
