Chen Yueling

Chen Yueling (Chinese陈 跃 玲/陈 跃 玲, Pinyin Chén Yueling; born April 1, 1968 in Tieling, Liaoning Province) is a former race walker that China and launched first for the People's Republic later for the United States.

After Chen Yueling had won the 1989 Asian Championships and 1990 Asian Games in the 10 km walk, she represented her country, the woman was walking than in the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona for the first time on the program.

A total of 44 tourers were to competition over 10 km on the main road. The decision was extremely exciting and at the end won Chen Yueling in 44:32 min with a second ahead of the Russian Elena Nikolaeva. Thus Chen Yueling was the first Olympic champion in walking.

Chen Yueling later left the People's Republic of China. She performed at the Olympic Games 2000 in Sydney for their new home on USA and was ranked 38th

Chen is 1,59 m tall; their competition weight was 50 kg.
