Chengbei District

Chengbei (城北区; Pinyin: Chengbei Qū; "North City " ) is a municipality of the prefecture-level city of Xining, capital of Qinghai province. It has an area of 138 km ² and has 210,000 inhabitants ( end of 2010).

Administrative Divisions

The municipality is composed of three road districts and two large communities. These are:

• Road Chaoyang District (朝阳 街道), seat of city district government;
• Road district Mafang (马坊 街道);
• Road district Xiaoqiao Dajie (小桥 大街 街道);
• Greater community Dapuzi (大 堡子 镇);
• Greater community Nianlipu (廿 里 铺镇).

At the census in 2000, the municipality had 210 265 inhabitants Chengbei.
