Cheonan

Cheonan ( Kor. 천안 ) is a city in the northeast of South Korea Chungcheongnam -do.

It is located 85 km south of the capital Seoul, and north of the city Daejeon, to which it is connected both by road and train. The normal features of the Gyeongbu Line stop at Cheonan station, while the KTX Cheonan - Asan stops at the station. Despite the distance to Seoul, the city was connected to the metro network, Line 1 began operating in January 2005. Therefore, it is sometimes already for the metropolitan area of Seoul, Sudogwon counted.

In the north are the towns Pyeontaek and Anseong of Gyeonggi Province, in the east the counties Cheongwon and Jincheon the province of Chungcheongbuk -do, in the south of the county Yeon -gi and the city of Gongju, on the southwest by the circle Yesan and to the west by the city of Asan.
