Cherno Samba

Cherno Samba (born 10 January 1985 in Banjul) is an English footballer who plays for the Finnish club FC Haka plays in the position of a striker since 2008. Previously, he was with the club Plymouth Argyle. Because of its Gambian origin, he also has the citizenship of the African country and is in the squad of the Gambian national football team since 2008.

His father was employed as doorkeepers for the Gambian national football team. Later, when Cherno was seven years old, his family moved on to Watford, England and then to Peckham ( south London ). Even as a 13 -year-old teenager, he drew attention to himself and scored 132 goals in 32 games.

For the Gambian national football team, he was for the first time during the qualifying for the FIFA World Cup 2010 in use. He previously played for England youth selections in all the age groups U- 15 to U- 20th

Based in Gambia " Cherno Samba Academy of Football" from which the successful club Samgar FC emerged, is named after him.
