Cherry County, Nebraska

The Cherry County is a county located in the U.S. state of Nebraska. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Valentine, named after Edward K. Valentine, a member of the U.S. Congress.

History

The Cherry County was formed in 1883 on former Indian land. It was named after Samuel A. Cherry, a lieutenant in the U.S. Cavalry.
