Cherry Valley Township is one of 27 townships of Ashtabula County in the U.S. state of Ohio. According to the census in 2000 857 inhabitants were registered here.

Geography

Cherry Valley Township is located in the southeast of Ashtabula County in the extreme northeastern Ohio and bordered clockwise to the townships: Dorset Township, Richmond Township, Andover Township, Williams Township, Wayne Township, Colebrook Township, New Lyme Township and Lenox Township.

Management

The township is administered by a Board of Trustees consisting of three elected members. Two persons are elected in the year after the presidential election and one each in the previous year. The term of office lasts four years, beginning on 1 January. There is also a Township Clerk (Secretary), who is also elected in the year before the presidential election to a four -year term. Whose term of office begins on April 1.
