Cheryl Toussaint
Cheryl Toussaint ( Cheryl Renee Toussaint, born December 16, 1952 in Brooklyn ) is a former American middle distance runner and sprinter.
At the Pan American Games in 1971, she won in the 4 x 400 meters relay with the U.S. team gold.
The following year, she left more than 800 m in the flow at the Olympic Games in Munich in 1972. In the 4 x 400 - meter relay team, she won the U.S. quartet in the cast Mable Fergerson, Madeline Manning -Jackson, Toussaint and Kathy Hammond the silver medal in 3:25,15 minutes behind the GDR relay race, with the 3:22,95 min a world record.
1970 and 1971 it was U.S. champion in the 880 yards and 800 meters outdoors in 1972 and 1973 over 880 yards in the hall.
