Chiswell is a small village on the Isle of Portland, just off the south coast of England. It belongs to the county of Dorset.

The former fishing village, is inseparably fused today with Fortune Well, the largest town on the Isle of Portland. The lower-lying districts on the flat, barely rising from the sea country be expected to Chiswell, while the actual Fortune Well located up the hill pulls. Chiswell - the name is also used as Chisel or Chesil pronounced - marks the southern end of Chesil Beach, a designated World Heritage coast formation, the section referred to in a Chesil Cove runs here.
