Chesterfield Inlet

Chesterfield Inlet ( Inuktitut: Igluligaarjuk ) is a long narrow bay in the Kivalliq region of Nunavut Canadian territory.

The bay is located in the northwest of Hudson Bay and has a length of 180 km. At its western end the outflow arms of Baker Lake and the River Quoich open into the Chesterfield Inlet.

Cross Bay, a broadening of the bay, is located 30 km east of Baker Lake. There are several islands in the bay.

The Inuit Hamlet with the same name, Chesterfield Inlet, is located south of the mouth of the bay into Hudson Bay. Formerly the area was home to the Aivilingmiut and Qaernermiut.
