Chestnut dunnart

Sminthopsis archeri is a Beutelsäugerart from the kind of Schmalfuß Bag mice. The species was first described in 1986.

The English name is derived from the dunnart Chestnut chestnut -colored coat on his back. The animals reach a body length between 85 and 105 mm and a tail length of 82-105 millimeters. The weight varies from 15 to 20 grams.

These bags mouse lives in the Australian state Queensland in the southern lowlands of New Guinea and. Their habitat is forests in New Guinea it is also found in savannas.

Little is known about the life of this kind. The mating season is during the dry season between July and October. You should feed on insects and other small animals.
