Cheviot Hills
The Cheviot Hills in the UK are a mountain area, which extends on both sides of the Scottish- English border between Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. The highest point is 815 m ( 2674 ft) The Cheviot (also known as Mount Cheviot ). The English site is under Northumberland National Park.
The mountains are mostly made of granite from the Devonian andesitic lava flows on the flanks with. The subsoil in the lower areas is limestone from the Carboniferous.
