Chevreaux

Chevreaux is a commune of 138 inhabitants ( 1 January 2011) in the Jura in the Franche -Comté.

Geography

The community chevreaux is located about 30 kilometers south of Lons -le- Saunier in the Jurassic Bresse. In the south, bordering the municipality of chevreaux to the Saône -et -Loire.

History

In the Middle Ages chevreaux was the seat of a barony, which emerged through inheritance from the Principality of Coligny in the 13th century.
