Chevrolet Opala

The Chevrolet Opala is a 1968 to 1992 by the Brazilian subsidiary of General Motors produced midsize car with rear wheel drive and also the first of General Motors in Brazil produced passenger cars.

The Opala was based on the Opel Rekord C and was presented in November 1968 at the Motor Show of Sao Paulo. Available were the first four-door sedan and two-door coupe. Instead of the engines used in the record coming from Chevrolet 2.5-liter inline four- cylinder and 3.8 - liter inline six- cylinders were installed here, the latter later replaced by a 4.1 liter six-cylinder.
