The so-called " detuned " Diesel has 96 kW/130 hp and a maximum torque of 315 Nm. The more powerful diesel version develops an output of 120 kW/163 hp, maximum torque of 360 Nm. With this engine, the Orlando is also available with a 6- speed automatic transmission. In the petrol engine, the camshaft with timing belt driven with a diesel engine with a timing chain. Since 2012, a 1.4 - liter petrol engine with turbocharger and an output of 103 kW ( 140 hp ) will be offered. The new 1.4 engine is fitted in conjunction with the six-speed manual as standard with a start / stop system and Eco - Drive Assistant. General

U.S. citizens associate the name of the place in Orlando Florida, where family holiday typically is made. Apart from Orlando the platform for compact cars from General Motors and the Opel Astra is being used. The top speed is the petrol 185 km / h and the diesel 180 km / h and 195 km / h ( 130 PS/163 PS). The tank capacity is 64 liters.

The three equipment lines are called LS (standard equipment with electronic stability control (ESC ), six airbags, air conditioning, electrically adjustable mirrors), LT ( medium version with automatic air conditioning, 16 " alloy wheels, parking sensors, leather steering wheel and radio controls on the steering wheel ) and LTZ (in addition to 17 " Alloy wheels, light and rain sensor, automatically abblendbarem mirrors and cruise control ).

Seating concept and cargo space

The Orlando has seven seats as standard, where there are two seats behind the rear axle and are individually hinged. For access to the rear can fold the middle row of seats forward. For use as a seven -seater in the trunk shrinks to very small 89 liter and by the extremely short box length will not even fit a crate in the trunk, the backrests of the rear seats extend almost to the tailgate. Since the NCAP crash test does not provide a rear impact test, no meaningful statement can be made about the safety of the rear row of seats; the head airbags protect occupants by the manufacturer only the first and second row of seats. The ADAC refers to EU - NCAP crash test results with very low cervical spine loading during rear-end crash. Folding down the third row of seats there is a flat, full-sized cargo area. The middle row of seats is also completely folded (unbalanced 1/3 right, divided 2/3 left), so that a flat, continuous loading can be achieved with a total of 1487 liters. With 4.65 meters of Orlando is longer than the competitors Opel Zafira and VW Touran, the latter still has around 1989 liters significantly more cargo space.
