Cheyenne Jackson
Cheyenne Jackson ( born July 12, 1975 in Newport, Washington) is an American singer and actor.
Biography
Cheyenne Jackson's most well- known film role is that of the U.S. aircraft passenger Mark Bingham in the Oscar - nominated film United 93, which traces the events of flight United 93 on September 11, 2001. He also appeared in the short film Curiosity.
Much more is known Cheyenne Jackson's work as a musical actor on Broadway. Jackson made his debut as an understudy both male leads in the Tony Award-winning musical Thoroughly Modern Millie. Soon after, he was hired as an understudy of Radames in Aida. He also played the role of Matthew in the off- Broadway production of Altar Boyz. In 2005 he finally got his first starring role on Broadway in the musical tribute to Elvis Presley: All Shook Up. His performance earned him consistently good reviews, as well as the Theatre World Award and numerous nominations from the Drama League and Outer Critics Circle Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor.
In June 2007, less than a week before the premiere, Jackson was given the lead role of Sonny in the Broadway production of Xanadu. He took over the role of James Carpinello, who was injured in the samples of roller-skating musicals. For his performance in Xanadu again he earned numerous nominations. Also Xanadu itself was several times for the Tony nominated, including " Best New Musical ".
2008 Jackson played with Jane Krakowski and Sean Hayes ( Will & Grace) in the New York production of Damn Yankees.
At regional level, Jackson played, among other roles in West Side Story, The Most Happy Fella, Children of Eden, Hair, Carousel, and The Rocky Horror Show.
Jackson appeared repeatedly in so-called webisodes online series. For example, in Cubby Bernstein (within the Xanadu - doctorate) at the side of Nathan Lane, in Legally Brown and in The [ Title of Show ] Show.
Personal
Jackson lives openly homosexual with his partner in New York City. The two married in 2011 after eleven years of relationship. End of June 2013 it was announced that the two have separated relationship after a total of 13 years. He is a supporter of gay rights and is here for many AIDS foundations, including among others AMFAR and Broadway Cares / Equity Fights AIDS. In 2008 he was elected ( gay ) Entertainer of the Year by Out Magazine. Jackson has paternal partially Indian roots, stems, therefore also his first name.
