CHH Txuri Urdin

The CH Txuri Urdin is a Spanish Hockey Club from Donostia- San Sebastián, which was founded in 1972 and plays in the Super League. The club was with nine league titles record champions for years, but has been surpassed by CH Jaca 2011.

History

In 1972, the CH Txuri Urdin was among the six founding members of the Super League, the highest Spanish Hockey League. After the city rivals Real Sociedad in the first three years each reached double in league and cup, succeeded in Txuri Urdin (Basque for " blue-white " ) to depose in 1976 as the first team Real Sociedad. In the same year the hockey department of the sports club Real Sociedad was dissolved so that Txuri Urdin was henceforth the only hockey first division of the city. Txuri Urdin previously won nine league championships and six times the trophy (most recently it was 2000, the double of league and cup ). In addition, once the club won the Basque Cup (1993).

Although Txuri Urdin has a long history of European Cup, however they won only two of 22 games in two draws.
