The Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport ( IATA: BOM, ICAO code: VABB ) is a major international commercial airport in Mumbai ( Bombay until 1995 ) in India. The airport is located about 15 km north of the immediate city center at 11 m above sea level. He was formerly the name Sahar International Airport, but was upon the Hindu Maratha ( Chhatrapati ) Shivaji 17th century renamed.

Statistics

The airport is one of the busiest in South Asia. Here run regularly 46 international airlines. Air India, Indian Airlines, Jet Airways and JetLite have its hub here. The airport consists of an international terminal (Terminal 2, Sahar called ) and domestic terminals (Terminal 1, called Santa Cruz ). The new terminal was completed on 11 January 2014.
