Chi-Town Shooters

The Chi -Town Shooters are an American ice hockey franchise of the All American Hockey League from Dyer, Indiana. They play in the 1,500 -seat end Midwest Training & Ice Center.

History

The Chi -Town Shooters were founded in 2008 and are one of the founding members of the AAHL. First, the franchise was operated under the name South Shore Shooters and should play in the Mid- Atlantic Hockey League. However, this presented its gaming operations even before the season starts and the Shooters changed under a new name in the AAHL. Your hometown Dyer is in the Chicago area, where the name Chi -Town, a nickname for Chicago dates. They possessed with the Dayton Gems on a partner team in the International Hockey League and at youth level on one with the Rogue Valley Wranglers from the Northern Pacific Hockey League.

The Chi -Town Shooters were in the 2008/ 09 season, the first team that could win the Rod Davidson Cup. They defeated in the finals of the playoffs, the Battle Creek Revolution.

In the 2009/10 season they could while again the regular season to win titles, documents in the playoff semi-finals but the West Michigan Blizzard. In August 2010, the franchise left the AAHL and planned for 2011/12 season in a junior league to continue the operation of gambling.

Before the year was decided to reject these plans and return to the AAHL. In the season 2010/11 they reached together with the Battle Creek Revolution prematurely the playoffs, since only the two teams remained in the game mode.
